I recently had the incredible privilege of attending the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® Global Symposium in Prague, and what an experience it was! To be in a room filled with top real estate professionals from around the world — all sharing ideas, stories, and inspiration — was truly humbling. It reminded me how powerful connection is, not just in business, but in life.
As South Africans, we have this amazing ability to stay positive, pull together, and make things happen no matter what challenges we face. That spirit was so evident as I spoke to colleagues from other countries — many of them genuinely in awe of how we continue to thrive in our market despite the hurdles. It made me feel incredibly proud to represent both our country and the Chas Everitt family on that global stage.
What stood out most for me was how aligned we are with the very best in the world when it comes to our values — authenticity, collaboration, and care. Those aren’t just buzzwords; they’re what make us who we are. Whether it’s working with our clients, our partners, or one another, success always comes down to building real, meaningful relationships.
The symposium was also a great reminder of how important it is to nurture our global connections. These relationships keep us learning, growing, and innovating — and they help us bring fresh perspectives and best practices back home to strengthen what we do here every day.
At the heart of it all, real estate isn’t just about property. It’s about people — their dreams, their journeys, and the trust they place in us. And standing in Prague, surrounded by people who share that same belief, I felt incredibly grateful to be part of a brand that lives those values so fully.
