Muizenberg Station, completed in 1913 with its sandstone arches and teak clock tower, anchors a village full of character — Victorian and Edwardian holiday homes, community theatre, quirky cafés, and a market housed in a converted aircraft hangar. The suburb carries genuine history too: it was here in 1795 that British forces landed to take the Cape from the Dutch, and decades later Muizenberg became a beloved seaside retreat for Cape Town’s Jewish community, earning it the affectionate nickname “the shtetl by the sea.”

Living here means beach mornings, mountain trails on your doorstep, and an easy stroll to Kalk Bay’s harbour and antique shops.
