Noordhoek Halloween haunted house on 30 October

Noordhoek Halloween plans sorted: Noordhoek Riding Club is hosting a family haunted house evening on Friday 30 October, from 5pm to 8pm. Little ones are invited to dress up, collect a goodie bag and, if they dare, step inside the haunted house.

What’s on at the Noordhoek Halloween evening

Alongside the haunted house there is pumpkin bowling, a jumping castle and a guided trick-or-treat walk that sets off at 6pm. Costumes are encouraged, and the organisers make it clear that the scarier or sillier, the better.

Pizza, pancakes and coffee will be on sale, and families are welcome to bring their own picnic and make an evening of it on the club grounds.

Tickets and getting there

  • When: Friday 30 October 2026, 5pm to 8pm (trick-or-treat walk at 6pm)
  • Where: Noordhoek Riding Club, Katzenellenbogen Street, Noordhoek
  • Cost: R125 per child, including a goodie bag; adults go free
  • Booking: through the event listing on Quicket

The listing does not give an age guide for the haunted house, so if you have very young or easily spooked children, it may be worth asking the organisers what to expect before you go.

Why it matters in the valley

Evenings like this are part of what makes Noordhoek feel like a village. The riding club is a familiar spot for many families in the valley, and a short, early evening event on a Friday means children can join in without a late night. It is also an easy way to meet neighbours from the estates and farms around Noordhoek.

Noordhoek is known for its semi-rural, horse-friendly setting, with the long beach, the wetlands and the Chapman’s Peak drive close by. The security estates around the valley, such as Lake Michelle, Chapmans Bay Estate and Stone Haven Estate, are popular with families who want space and the outdoors on their doorstep.

The event was included in this week’s Cape Town listings, as reported by Sundry Mag.
